In this Real Estate Marketing Ideas post, I have a special tip. Real Estate marketing guru Richard Roop came up with this idea. He has students all over who have tested it and it works almost as good as the yellow letter.

It's a small sticky note (think post it note) that you stick on the doors of ares that you want to buy houses in. You can buy these at any print shop. They work like crazy. Picture it- you're coming home from work, you get out of the car, head towards the front door. What is the first thing you think you're going to see....Yup..That thing stuck on the door... What is that stuck on my front door? a sticky note.

These work so well for 1 reason and one reason only...They get read. You don't have to wonder if it got opened. You don't have to wonder if it got delivered.

I personal have bought houses using this door to door flyer method.

So head over to your local office depot, pick up some post it notes and give it a try.

    I am a huge fan of direct mail. I think right now may be the best time to buy houses using direct mail. Most sellers in this "turned upside down market" won't be actively looking for you to buy there house. They will stick there heads in the sand and wait for that miracle to happen. That miracle is your letter. If you can stand out from the rest of everybody else mailing letters, than you can win at the direct mail game ,which leads me to my point. I have found what I believe to be one of the best ways to get that seller calling you.
